[sdiy] easy diode ladder??

I am trying to dive into ladder filters and as i have always been intimidated by their design i would like to start with one that is not overly complex.

can anyone recommend one that is not full of hard to find parts?

There is one on tim daugaurds site but i cant find a resonance control on it.
