Hello again, you eagle breeders ;-)

Is there a way to include off-board components in the schemactic?

I prefer to include front panel pots etc. within the schematic to show
the total circuit, even though those pots are not to be included on the
board. 

I did separate them via pin headers from the main circuit (just as they
are to be in reality), but since there appears to be only one board per
schematic (is it?), I always have those pots placed beside the board. (I
meticulously leave them there, because my somewhat limited non-profit
EAGLE version wouldn't allow me to move them outside the board again.)

So, is there some kind of non-placing or show-in-schematic-only
attribute I can apply to those components?
