Hi Paul,

Thank for the tip.   I already cracked open the original pot, and the tracks 
inside look ok - they just seem to be disconnected from the lugs on the 
outside.    Maybe your epoxy trick will fix the original part?!?   The 
tracks still measure 100K across their length, but it's open circuit to each 
of the lugs.

I'll have to give it a try!
