Correct, the idea is to use the same chips and use the dev boards as a way
of getting the software right, and sorting out what bits of hardware are
most usefull.

A panel with knobs, and MIDI, is part of the plan for QiX.

Yes, it'll be based on an open serial communication protocol.
Something that will allow people to do whatever they want :-)
