While the on-board audio I/O of the Beagle board is AC-coupled, there's 
no reason you couldn't use the two additional McBSP ports on the 
expansion connector to add 4 channels of DC-coupled audio in/out each. A 
daughter card would probably be highly desirable anyway for a modular 
application since you'd want to have front-panel pots, lights & switches 
and those could be managed with GPIO & SPI interfaces that are also 
available on the expansion connector.

Of course this is all still moot since the Beagle isn't yet generally 
available, and the price/package for the OMAP3530 are decidedly not DIY 
friendly. Time will tell...
