I'd rather prefer DC-coupled I/O on the ADC/DAC part ... which (as far  
as I can tell after a brief look) isn't ... once again :-(
Then only then it's interesting for incorporating that as a very  
versatile module (as you proposed above) into a system like a modular  
synthesiser.
At least from my POV. ;-)
