Don't make the mistake of laying out your front panel based only on knob
size.  If you go too dense you won't actually have space to fit the pots on
the back side...  Take into account the terminal sizes and all that.

With futurelec you are out of luck on getting sizes in advance, but if you
use normal suppliers ( mouser/digikey/allied ) they usually have datasheets
linked off their website.  I've done layouts in the past where I was
uncertain of all the sizes, so I roughed in holes to do the layout and then
resized when I could measure and be certain.
