That's a good question - and the truth is - I don't really know.

12VAC adapters are easier to find here in the UK and I know that a few of the circuits that I'm looking at will probably run happily on +/- 12V - but others (...like the AD633-based Ring Modulator?) apparently like bigger voltages. - and I'm really not sure what I'll be building over - say the next 6 months.

The whole power supply issue is something I keep coming back to - and now I'd like to nail it - at least for a little while, and I figure that going for +/-15V will let me keep my options open.

...of course - if anyone wants to make a case for going for +/-12V - I'd be happy to hear it!
