Hey all,
I'm looking for some cheap, simple ways of getting a +/-15 volt supply from a wall wart for a small, portable unit I'm working on.
Has anyone got any advice on the suitability of dual output DC-DC converters like these:

Fluctuation from an unregulated DC adapter might be a problem - guess I could back them up with 78XX Vregs?
I know there's a few good schematics out there for supplies running off an AC adapter - but so far I've not had much luck tracking down a cheap 15-18v AC wall wart in the UK - any clues?
Basically I really want to move up to some designs that require a bipolar supply - but I also need the units to be portable and useable with easily accessible power supplies/adapters. Not necessarily after a 'perfect' solution just yet - a reasonably workable one would suffice for the time being.
Thanks much.
J
