[sdiy] is there a yearly SYNTH DIY event in the U.S.?

where does this take place? are there synth diy enthusiasts or is it more of a collectors scene?thanks for the great info. i will have to find out more about this AH thing...back in the old days when i had ALL my old vintage synths i used to troll around on that mailing list for info about my beloved lost yamaha cs15 which at the time i couldnt find much info on ..this must have been around 94/96--------------------------------------------
