[sdiy] is there a yearly SYNTH DIY event in the U.S.?

Yes there is...there is the PNW (Pacific Northwest) Synth DIY meet in 
the Seattle area.  This is put on by John Marshal.

And when I am up to it...I have had a few down here in Southern 
California as well (Goleta actually...just north of Santa Barbara)
