[sdiy] is there a yearly SYNTH DIY event in the U.S.?

those pictures got me dreaming. i want to know if there is a place i can go be with my own kind for a few days. people that eat and breathe synth diy. the wife doesnt get it, the friends and kids dont get it....there must be someone who does!
