The PAiA FatMan synth kit got me started. I've been interested in electronics since I
was 11 or 12 years old (I am 56) and I've been an amateur musician for just as long.
I found out about the FatMan while lurking on USENET rec.music.makers.synth, bought
one and started to modify it. I bought another and modified it differently. Now I'm
doing digital DIY-synth using an FPGA.
I am compelled by gratitude to thank the many kind and generous members of this list
and the FPGA-synth list. I would name them, but the list is too long and I'd hate to
miss even one. (c:
