a while back watching pere ubu in concert, ravenstein was playing his EML101... many years before, i'd taken college electronic music composition courses and we'd used EMLs(and pairs of 2track tape machines to do multitrack via bouncing), and i got nostalgic. but i started shopping around for one and saw price tags of, like, $900! i decided i could build one cheaper. i hate to think how much money i might have saved if i'd just bought that EML back then.
