[sdiy] Wiring pencil

For short connections I use plain copper wire, a single solid conductor, no insulation of any kind.  Fat enough and stiff enough to stay where I put it, so it wont sag down and touch anything its not meant to.  Less than 1cm it can be thin so I use spare resistor/diode leads, but for runs 1-4cm it needs to be heavier and stiffer, like 0.5mm or more.  I only use insulated wire for runs longer than 4cm or if it needs to be flexible multistrand stuff for some reason.
