I wouldn't recommend incandescent bulbs. The Synthesizers.com Q960 sequencer uses light bulbs in order to be more like the R. A. Moog 960, and there have been numerous posts about their tendency to burn out, even though they are run at lower than rated voltage (I think).

How about LEDs with vintage style colored lenses?
