sure, it's a vco :-). LFO's but also hey make a program that will
monitor the output frequency, sampling only when all mod sources are
null. Establish a 'drift register' for each vco. Ie. feed a dac output
through a 4051 for each and update them with voltages designed to
gradually bring the tuning back toward center. By say just implementing
a simple RC circuit at that point to put a time contstant in there that
will make responses to the changes happen over a period of 10 seconds or
so. If I ever get time...be a fun project. One pic chip could manage
that affair I'd think nicely coupled with zero cross detect for each
vco's output so that these can just be fed to inputs on the pic and
frequencies can be assessed via the code comparing to the note buffer
for that note and a global null line when any of the vco's have an
offset from a pitch wheel or envelope or whatever.
Sound good? Has anyone done anything quite like this already? Probably :)
