Shit, dude, 913Hz isn't even AUDIBLY close to 1000Hz. Well at least to me 
it's not. It's a little more than a semitone at that frequency range. I 
GUESS if I just listened to it and someone said, "That's 1000Hz" I might 
say, "OK I'll buy that..." But if they said, "That's a C5," and they MEANT 
for it to be a C5 (which is about 1045Hz), I'd say, "Sounds more like a 
Bb5..." But at that point it's a whole 'nother 45Hz off which wold make it 
even easier to tell the difference.

I guess my point is, if someone played you 913Hz and then 1000Hz, you'd say, 
"Hey that's definitely different." But if they JUST played 913Hz and SAID it 
was 1000Hz, most people would buy it unless they had perfect pitch.
