a) it's obviously rushed out the door, because some engineer had a Q4 2007
goal of "ship dev board in 2007". So he did :)
b) a VERY quick pass through the sine gen code (in glorious DSP56K assembly)
hints the frequency resolution of the NCO is 93Hz, so that would be 1 count
'off' or I should have got 1006Hz out. It appears the NCO is an 8-bit MAC
(ack!) that was thrown together.
c) for a REAL treat, download the Blinky_LED.c code and read the
comments....at least he was honest :)
d) there is reference in the read-me about a 'Jon Dattorro' paper (Jon is a
well-known audio DSP guru) but no direct reference cited. Guessing this
classic AES paper:
