yep, same core, the code should port fairly easily.
Of particular interest to me is how easily I can port something like
phoenix/monowaveII to the soundbite board.
I think the reason I wouldn't be able to port the monowaveII to the
tonecore is lack of control and probably lack of external ram on the board.
But a lot of the core code will work.

agreed, but that's what makes freescale different, this range of dsps
(especialy something like the 5762) are aimed specifically at the audio
market, not FCPs.

the main problem was the fact that the cost to build each unit (bsed on
500) was around £3000 ($6000), can't see many people wanting to pay more
than that for an 8 note poly.

hopefully things will speed up once a few of us get one of the kits.
