the Moog Voyager is the same way, probably due to the limitations of
the Z80 MCU that is servicing all of the I/O (midi IN translated to
50+ CV D/A outputs). If you write a sequence in grid notation with no
gap between noteOff and the next noteOn, dropped and hung notes can
happen... "shortening" the note duration so that noteOffs happen even
slightly before then next NoteOn fixes the problem. No real hassle
when using a graphical sequencer environment but I can imagine it
might be a nuisance on step sequencers where note duration is not so
easily adjustable.
