The main limitation of the Freescale SoundBite is it's 56k fixed point 
architechture. Well, I ordered my Bite too but I don't expect a lot from 
the device, hope to be able to implement a digital crossover using it. 
It would also make a nice multitrack recorder if interfaced with a SD 
card. Too bad there isn't any microcontroller on board.

mine is on order, and BTW, the ETA date changes when you get the order
confirmation, < 2 weeks.

DSP can do what you program it to do, in theory the main limitation is
your own imagination.
