That's really naive.  Look closely at the quality of the components
alone... there are knobs and switches on there worth $15, I reckon.
You can't leave that stuff out of the equation, even if it were a
modern-art sculpture that didn't make any sound.  As it is, it's a
phenomenally quirky, expressive, realtime instrument with a lot of
craft and care invested in its design and construction.
