Not sure about that model. I have various tips here but doubt they fit
that one. It's probably just a plug in pen? But anyway yeah the
coating will wear off and the ferrous stuff will rust. You have to keep
tips tinned for maximum life and a wet sponge helps remove stuff that
can burn into the tip's coating.
The problem..I mean you can make a copper tip but it won't last long and
will bend really easy :-). So they designed tips that have more
durability and that don't weaken with temperature but which
unfortunately tend to oxidize. And then plated them with a layer that
will bond well with solder but will eventually react with stuff. So
take care of your tips. Here is the list from my website but I don't
