There is a way to do it with xcopy, but you are much better off using 
robocopy (robocopy /MIR [SOURCE] [DESTINATION] /R:0 /W:0 is the fastest 
way to do it, adding /Z if it's across a network). It's an MS tool, but 
it's not included with the default Windows install unless you are 
running Vista.

You can also just use the copy command but give it the folder name and 
target folder name without the *.*. At least, that works on Vista.
