You might drool a little less once you see the actual factory schematic of 
the Dimension D. A clone would be a daunting task, indeed. Of course I think 
Juergen Haible is more than up to it. Except I'd rather see it keep the 
MN3007 BBD's, since they have a better S/N ratio and can still be had for 
cheap - especially if you know which old Radio Shack gear uses them and you 
buy THOSE on eBay, rather than buying bogus NOS ones.

I do go back and peak at the Dimension D schematic every now and then. It's 
really something. And there wasn't near the disappointment I had when I 
first looked at the Roland SH101 schematics, hoping to make a clone. Then I 
saw the CEM chips. Drat! Phooey!
