I think, looking at the schematics, that the +5 (or is it +6?) seems to go to the headphone amp and not to the drums channels.  The schematic for the version without XLR and headphone amp doesn't have the +5 output.  So I suppose I can just bypass that for now.  I will try the power supply tonight with the + and -15v only and see if it doesn't stay working like that.  Thanks for the help.

I don't remember a +5 supply in my TS-204, but it's long gone and my memory isn't too hot.
