So I've got one of the 6-channel drum brains and two of the two-channel expanders. The little ones work great, but the large one powers up for a bit and then dies with a little thump. I'm pretty sure it's in the power supply, but aren't sure where to start. I'm pretty sure from the schematics that the power supplies put out +15v, -15v, +5v, and ground. My intention all along was to remove the guts from their rusty cases and re-house them, adding MIDI. I just so happen to have a Power One supply that is set up to put out those voltages (purchased for an MOTM system). So, I could ditch the old supplies, rehouse them with the new supply and a MIDI to trigger converter and be on my way, right? Thoughts?
