[sdiy] Octave Cat SRM2

So, I'm about to receive my first REAL analog synth tomorrow- an Octave Cat SRM2.  I going to remain optimistic that everything is functional and great on it, but are there any typical issues with these I should be on the lookout for?  Also, has anyone used the pitchbend input on the back and if so, with what?  I'd love to get a real bender hooked up to the thing at some point.  Lastly, has anyone modified one to have the input and output options that the factory did?  I'm slowly building some modular components and would love to be able to add patch in some things to expand my palette.
