Whilst it is always sad to lose old friends, don't cry too much about
it. There comes a time for them to go.
There are still loads of good DACs out there. Cirrus will sell you a
24-bit, 192KHz audio DAC for a couple of dollars. It'll manage 16-bit
resolution with one hand tied behind its back. AD still have an
enormous range of all kinds of DACs.
