[sdiy] !! Introduction !!

I just dug out some of my old FLA vinyl when it dawned on me that - DUH! - I
could use the "phono" input on the other side of the DJ mixer that my Roland
MKS-50 is currently connected to to connect the Pioneer PL-600 turntable
that I bought at Goodwill for $6 (in perfect working order). This combo has
led to some REAL FUN! But, yeah it was great to listen to the "Corrosion" &
"Gashed Senses & Crossfire" LP's and the "Ice-olate" 12" single I have
again.
Although I have to say I wish I'd been on less of an Induastrial Music kick
in the early 90's. Forsaking my earlier obsessions with The Jesus & Mary
Chain and Dinosaur Jr. (since renewed but not before I stupidly sold my
Ampeg VT40... :-( ). I totally missed out on My Bloody Valentine somehow. If
it hadn't been for Sophia Coppola's film "Lost In Translation" I might never
have stumbled upon them. And I'm pretty sure that movie played a big hand in
their back catalogue being rereleased.
But I digress...
Welcome!
