OK after a quick and dirty test using the original piano sample found on 
the page Ian posted [thanks Ian, an interesting read!] I cannot hear any 
difference between the original sample and the original->FFT->IFFT 
sample [Hann window, FFT points = number of samples]. I used the 
original sample modified by the FFT window for a fair comparison with 
the IFFT signal.
