[sdiy] Flash ABX type application?

The current discussion about harmonics reminded me about an idea I had
to make some sort of ABX comparison software
http://www.provide.net/~djcarlst/abx_new.htm with a Flash interface and
a simple backend to keep track of statistics.

Ideally it would be able to have say 2-4 channels of input audio in MP3
or WAV that could be lifted from an external web server. The software
would randomize the order and location [left or right button] for the
samples, and perform other ABX functions. I'm not too familiar with
database software but I think even something like SQL is overkill. Maybe
a text file that logs the statistics along with a user inputted
'nickname'. There'd be a button on the Flash interface to view the
statistics for the giving comparison.

Does anything like this already exist? Anyone have an interest in
building this app? I think it could be used a lot in the synth world. I
could probably manage but this isn't my element, so it would take a
while. :)

Nick.
