The scanner vibrato in my Parie organ sounds more like a phaser than
like a chorus. Of course only when the scanner is spun much slower
than intended. With the original speed it's -well- vibrato.
I haven't compared it side by side to a real phaser, but probably
there's something special to scanner vibratos. In Apple Logic there's
a scanner vibrato emulation plugin, in addition to phaser, flanger,
chorus and whatnot plugins.

One idea I had was adding a second "arm" to the rotor, on the
opposite side of the original arm. This would give a stereo effect.
But making an electric contact to that second arm would be tricky.
