Hi, All.

And here's what we got from midi.org, for clarity:

And now the word of warning:

"4. It is extremely important not to ground pin 2 of the MIDI IN connector."

I did check my smallish setup for this once:  _Of Course_ nobody uses
"Joystick/midi" for *anything* - but the only device abusing the
specification was the  "Joystick/midi" Adaptor. ;)
