Take a look at:

near the bottom, "Palaces Of Crystal".

Sadly, no photo, but the main element in them looked
like a Hammond scanner.  The 16 inputs were on jacks,
each normalled to the next, so for a 50/50 ratio of
two sounds, you'd put audio 1 into jack 1 and audio 2
into jack 9, and the signal would go to the first 8
and last 8 scanner inputs respectively.
