[sdiy] Dumb PWM question

The family of "sawtooth animator" / multiplier type circuits may do
something similar to what you are looking for, by use of some
arrangement of comparators and level-shifters driven by LFOs... dieter
doepfer showed me his sawtooth animator which did vary interesting
things with non-sawtooth and even non-periodic input signals.
