Hi guys,
I will be 54 this April.
Recently been distracted by an interest in metal detector design. I've
always been interested in them but had not been able to find much on
circuitry. But alas, I did some recent searching and found some great sites
with forums and all that. Lots of schematics and looks like improvements
and simplifications can be made. The circuitry is highly modular - just
like synths! And where they seem to fall flat is on their audio. They may
find gold just great but some older guys just can't hear well enough to
understand what the detector is telling them....

Other than that, I recently resurrected a Korg DW-8000, 2 rear projection
tv's and a 42" HP plasma, and continue to look for cheap Memorymoogs to buy
and repair... I also paid $10 for a cheap Yamaha piano that I later fixed.
Gave it to my 18 year old son and he yelled at me - "hey dad, come listen to
this!" He had me listen to a band he always listens to (don't know the
name) and it had all its background music done with this cheap keyboard's
on-board sounds! :-)
