My oscilloscope - a Beckman Industrial 9060 (Made by someone else) - is
retired Navy. Served in the Naval Surface Warfare Center or Crane as
everybody calls it. In fact a lot of the choicest gems that I have gleened
parts from have served time in the Navy first.

That's something I'm working on too. I want to build a wild custom mixing
desk in the spirit of the old dub producers from Jamaica. You know, King
Tubby & Lee 'Scratch' Perry.
To that end I've gathered up a lot of home electronics on eBay that are
usually things that Radio Shack sold in the 80's. A tricked-out Realisic
"Electronic Reverb" with a BL3208 in place of the stock MN3207 being the
centerpiece, along with reverbs tanks from M-series Hammonds. And of course
my many tube amps made from radio junk.
cheers,
Anthony
