I will be 37 in March.
I worked in electronics as an R&D tech for a number of years. Changed
out for IT after teaching myself to program microcontrollers at one of
my jobs.
Went back to electronics while serving in the US Navy.
Now back to IT and really tired of it.
Since joining Synth-DIY in 1997 the good folks here have inspired me
to build two complete modular systems and a host of related devices. I
am working on my third system now and taking my sweet time with it. I
want it to be my Ultimate Dream Synth when I am done. It is a
no-expense-spared sort of thing so it may yet take some years. This
machine is being designed for live performance use.
I began with electronic music of my own in the late 80s with a Casio
CZ-230s and a Fostex 4 track machine. Along with borrowed guitar
pedals my early attempts were much in the Cabaret Voltaire vein.
Eventually, fanned out into Gothic, Industrial and Experimental Noise.
Now I have a band with my wife. Sorta Industrial Rock type stuff.
I have recently become interested in Recording electronics. At some
point I would like to attempt building some good studio gear for my
home studio.
Mike
