That would be an interesting question. I started when I was 13/14 here  
- the Transcendant 2000 was my first diy interest although I only ever  
got to play one and never built it. But based on some of Tim Orr's  
designs and the Elektor Formant, I started designing my own rack based  
synth and 4 oct keyboard. It was kinda playable when I was around 16 I  
guess. It's been on and off since then, sometime analogue, sometimes  
digital and sometimes soft.
