just for the record, a few years ago I redesigned the Elektor vocoder
into a 32 bands vocoder with MIDI i/o.
I never finished building it (lack of time), but recently I went back to
the project and started to reduce the number of PCBs and transform
the analyzer section by using the ssm2164 as vca.
