Better yet,  if you're on friendly terms with a garage you can get,  probably 
for free,  sealed beam headlights where one or the other filament has burned 
out which is a bad thing in a vehicle but still leaves you with one that 
works for use as a load,  and gives you a visible indication,  too.  :-)
