Here is my favorite. I use it in my system with my bass. I designed it after reading about
ring modulators and analizing the current flows of one. It provides for quadrant
modulation centered around the reference point.

If you have a bi-polar power supply and replace the bias network with a ground connection,
then the output will go above and below ground.

It uses one quad opamp and 4 diodes.
