I developed asthma later in life and soldering irritated my airways
so I stopped soldering.
I've tried every remedy, like having the fumes vented outdoors -
muffin fans and dryer exhaust hose.
I even bought the Weller TC201-FE and hooked the tube to a central vacuum.
I've had my eye on the Metcal/Oki BVX-101 for quite some time.
That would eliminate 99.9% ,they say, of the 'colophony' and other
irritants in the fumes.
The Weller bench extractor doesn't filter the finer particles but
it's better than nothing.
HMC Electronics has the best price I've found.
