Count me a member of the real men school as well.  Then and now
using my mouth to feed solder when a third hand is needed.  Or
running mercury in streams from hand to hand ("Oh!  I never!" and
the fat lady faints).  I was amused to see Jacob Bronowski do the
same when watching the old 'Ascent of Man' series (no fool he).
