congratulations on the strangest post I have read in some time.
I would consider that the range of motion of your performers is
somewhat limited, so rather than directly translating motion into
sound (which might get a bit monotonous), you consider some sort of
algorithmic-composition tools (like a MAX patch or similar) to
translate variations in the motion or rhythm into changes in key, song
structure, or other "macro" structures of the musical performance.
Also consider other types of input, like skin electroconductivity or
muscle tension... these inputs could change the timbre of the sound
output, for example.
I am pretty into synths, but I will pass on one where the "dongle"
requires piercing! ^_^
