[sdiy] space echo pinch roller?

okay, so more like FXdiy, but does anyone know a place
to get the black rubber roller that pulls tape through
a roland sre-555 chorus echo?  i talked to some repair
guy who wanted ALOT of money to fabricate one.  the
chorus and reverb on this thing are great, but it sure
would be  nice if it was a tape echo too...

any leads appreciated, thanks all!
