[sdiy] Capacitor identification

Hi list,

I wonder if someone could help me identify this capacitor?

I think it might be 47nf?
Also, it appears to have a max voltage of 125VAC - is this correct?
It has been pulled from a Techincs SY-1010's power supply where it was 
connected in parallel with the AC input (110VAC) and I want replace the 
transformer with a UK one (230VAC). What is the purpose of this cap anyway?
