Keep an eye on Ebay for the occasional good deal. In the past month
I've seen several nice 1% resistor assortments. Other good deals I've
come across recently are 250-1000 piece bags of capacitors for a
couple dollars. I just received a few orders of caps for restoring my
old mixing console - 1000 22uF BP, 20 220uF BP, 40 WIMA 1uF, 250
Polybox 1uF and some others. All for what amounts to a few fast-food
lunches (yes I'm hungry).

The bulk bag stuff is a good way to stock up on certain parts or
values you'll always need. Just make sure the parts are new before
ordering.
